12 Startups You Should Know From Chinaccelerator’s 8th Batch

Chinaccelerator, the first startup accelerator in China and Asia, is a mentorship-driven program helping internet startups from around the world cross borders - from the world into China and from China to the world. It is backed by the venture fund SOSV with $250M AUM operating eight accelerator programs around the world. Chinaccelerator offers three months of rigorous guidance, training, and resources from mentors, partners and investors. The robust and supportive alumni network continues into the startups' post-Chinaccelerator lifespan.

On August 24th, 2015, 12 companies descended upon Shanghai entering the top startup accelerator in Asia: Chinaccelerator.After 3 full months of long days, no weekends, and very little sleep, these companies are now ready to take to the main stage and show the world what they have been working so hard on.

1. Artable

Artable is a pre-sale platform for the world’s best artists and designers to pre-sell art projects, design products, or their creatively customized service directly to consumers or brands around the world.

2. Bestaurant

Bestaurant is the easiest way to find the best restaurants. Bestaurant is a mobile app listing the best restaurants for people who quickly want to know where to eat, curated by your trusted friends. This is social curation done right: just the best, not the rest.

3. BitMEX

BitMEX uses Bitcoin to allow anyone, anywhere, to bet on any type of financial asset with leverage.

4. Face8

Face8, a mobile advertising platform, provides free wifi, photo printing, ultra fast movie downloads and power charging for airport passengers paid for by advertisers. We alleviate boredom at boarding gates and provide brands direct access to the most valuable advertising real estate in the world: phone screens.

5. Magnet

Magnet works with brands to engage visitors to their locations with helpful, on- demand services. Magnet uses technologies such as Wi-Fi, QR codes and beacons, to connect people to spaces and then deliver content and traditional e- commerce functions to their phones. Guests get better experiences, while locations make more money.

6. OZ
