Google I/O 2016 Main Announcements. Google I/O is an annual software developer-focused conference held by Google in San Francisco, California. This year company unveiled many innovative products, from new Android N, IoT Device called Google Home, Messenger Development, etc.
The company introduced a new conversation-based virtual assistant, similar to Cortana and Siri, but as Google claims it has the smartest AI that has ever been done before.
Google also unveiled its new IoT gadget called Home, that will allow users to discover movies, to arrange schedules, buy tickets, order food, answer any question, or carry out a task using a vocal command from anywhere in the room.
Due to the popularity of instant messengers, Google has created its own messenger called Allo, which will have a bunch of such features as automatic suggestions about messages, food, movies, tickets, search results, translation, stickers, emojis, ink, photo editing, etc.
Google also showed another app Duo which is a fast one-to-one video calling app. It shows you a live video preview of the caller before you pick up.
Mobile chrome, which is used by more than 1 billion users, will allow users to use functions and features from applications without downloading and installing them.
Many people expected to see Google's new smartphone running its new Android N, that would have some cool features. But Google did not mention anything about smartphones. Compared to previous versions, Android N will be running much faster, much productively, with less consumption of the phone storage and battery. This version still has no official name but Google lets people to choose the name by themselves, so everyone can suggest their own versions from this Link.
In total Android N has more than 250 new features and enhancements. They said that the final version will be available in late summer of 2016.
