On March 21 Apple introduced its new 4 inch iPhone called - iPhone SE, iPad Pro and extra Watch bands.
There are lots of rumors before every presentation of Apple. This time, people wanted to see and expected Apple to show off new "double-sided iPhone 7", new cases and lots of other interesting stuff. But no!
The first disappointing thing was the new iPhone. People expected to see a big smartphone, with a different design and features. Instead, Apple introduced a new smartphone that looks just like iPhone 5s and has approximately same specifications as iPhone 6s.
Here are some of the main specifications:
- OS - iOS 9.3
- Chip - A9 chip with 64-bit architecture
- RAM - 1 GB
- Storage Capacity - 16GB, 64GB
- Display - Retina 4 inch brighter Display
- Weight - 113 grams Camera - 12-megapixel camera with Live Photos and 4K video, 5-megapixel front-facing FaceTime camera
The iPhone SE will come in two models, 16GB and 64GB, priced at $399 and $499.
Disappointment N2: 9.7" iPad Pro, which is just a smaller version 12.9" iPad Pro.
However, it may be better for those people who like original iPad Pro but prefer smaller sizes. New 9.7" iPad Pro will come in three models: With 32GB, 64GB and a "Huge" 256GB storage.
Disappointment N3: Apple Watch
No! Apple did not show off a new generation of Apple Watch. They reduced the price of the device, from $349 to $299. Still not bad! In addition, Tim Cook introduced a number of new bands, as part of a collection he called "Spring lineup".
People love Apple because it's one of the most innovative companies in the world. However, during the presentation, most of them were not surprised at all. We saw modified or cheaper products that had already been introduced in the past. But the question we should think about: is Apple still innovative as before?
Global Equities Research’s Trip Chowdhry told Benzinga the company introduced strong product announcements. "Apple's Aspirational Brand becomes more accessible with Lower-Priced iPhone and Apple Watch," he said.In a mid-day note, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster said the announcements were in-line with expectations, except for a lower price of the iPhone SE vs. $450 estimates.
So, it really depends on your own point of view.
